I have concerns after his scores, I mean how can some noobface from horwich be so good at mw2 with the 'too' high kpd's etc he continues getting :hehehe:

well if his network is hosting half the time then the advantage would be the host's, same for anyone else too

that would still suggest that the hosting of the game makes it an uneven competition if ur suffering in ur scores when u are host

how can i put it, it's like being in a race where u have a skoda and s1 else has a porchshe, multiplayer with such variances is just papoo de pap imo

TBH I don't even notice when im host or not, i just check at the start to see

its not gonna make that much difference tbh, bens top of the board cos hes the best player not cos of him hosting some games

i mean its millionths of a second were talkin, its like someone on cs having a 10 ping playin someone with a 40 odd ping, really doesnt influence the outcome of the game as much as is bein suggested :confused:

Yes but when you have around 17 players logging onto a server where on some residential upload speeds are around 0.3 meg or less, with 17 users using that connection during moments of intense firefights the upload will not be able to cope with dispensing information to so many clients hence it has to wait, which creates a higher ping. We are not talking pings of 40 or so we are talking pings of around 100-200 all the way up to 600-800 in intense situations. Also take into account this is your ping not your latency which is sending information back so in theory you could be up to around a full 1.4 seconds behind the person who is hosting your server.

Whilst I've never played MW2 on PC's, I've played CoD and Halo on the xbox which operate in the same fashion and it's very rarely a problem imo.

One person might have a small advantage but it's negligible when compared to the indivudal skill level of the players.
